Drought can lead to dangerous flooding
乾旱可能導致土地發生嚴重水災
When drought occurs, the weather becomes hot and dry, leaves and grass turn yellow, and soil structure changes as a result. The soil surface that is directly irradiated by the sun will form a protective layer as strong as concrete. If there is a downpour after the drought, not only will it not help the soil to absorb water, but it will cause a lot of rainwater to stay on the ground that is difficult to absorb water. As a result, flooding occurs.
當乾旱發生時，天氣會變燥熱與乾燥，樹葉和草地變黃，土壤結構也會因此發生改變。被陽光直接照射的泥土表面會造成一層有如混凝土般堅固的保護層，假如在乾旱過後立即迎來暴雨，不但無助於土地吸收水分，反而會使大量雨水停留在難以吸水的地面上，從而發生水災。
